Dr. Mau has her doctorate in Immunology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor where she studied aging and immunity modeled in mice. Her current research endeavors focus on translational human aging: Dr. Mau studies the role of muscle mitochondrial energetics in aging health outcomes; the biology of musculoskeletal pain; and age-related adipose tissue dysfunction
